Fabienne BONNEAU - a sculptor in Vernon, Haute-Normandie, France, and
sometimes actress when there is an opportunity - made her first contact
with sculpture when she teached drama classes. Yann Guignabert’s
workshop was just opposite hers. He opened his door, she came in… and
discovered a world of modelling, stone carving, stained glass, and
ceramics. For that, he will have her eternal gratitude. Today, Fabienne
Bonneau knows that the sculptor is to his material what the poet is to
words. She teaches classes for both adults and children in Evreux and
Saint-Marcel, as well as various workshops in all the Haute-Normandie
region. We all dream our own projects. They truly become ours when they
have an existence in space. In the shape of her works, Bonneau shows
beauty, joy, but also sometimes pain. Like her own teacher, she defines
herself as a poacher of light.
Her website parcoeur.fr (which means “by heart“) contains her works as
well as a presentation of her classes and her research. Knowing by heart
isn’t the same as merely putting a preconceived idea on the superficial
layer of your volatil brain cells. It means being born again with (and
through) the most powerful of our chakras : the one that lies in the
heart. Again, sculpture is to materials what the arts of the stage are
to words. And all the poets of the world are nothing but its servants.
